Where is Transportation China located?
We have headquarters in Austin, TX, an office in Shenzhen, China, and representatives in all major Chinese cities.
Why can’t I rent my own car?
This is definitely not a good idea – unless you’ve driven in China before and are very familiar with the city’s streets.
Why can’t I just take a taxi?
Of course you can take a taxi. You will need to have the address of the destination written down on paper to show the driver. However, addresses are not so straight-forward in China and there’s a chance he may take you to the wrong location by mistake. Some hotels offer airport pickup and drop-off, but after that you are on your own. We think nothing beats arriving at the airport, leaving a restaurant, or leaving a business meeting knowing that your driver and assistant are waiting for you at the curb.
What do I do if my flight is early/late?
Our drivers have access to all flight arrival and departure information. Because we have your flight arrival information, we will be notified if your arrival time changes at the last minute.
Can I change my itinerary after I arrive in China?
Changes in your reservation should be arranged 48 hours in advance of arrival. 20% of value will be charged as a rescheduling fee.
Can I cancel my reservation?
If you have already booked, email us to cancel your reservation and refund your charges. Reservations canceled less than 72 hours prior to 16:00 on the day of arrival or no show will be subject to 50% charge of the trip.
How do I obtain a Chinese Visa?
We recommend the services of MyChinaVisa.
Will I be taken “shopping”?
We absolutely do not accept any kickbacks from merchants to take you to their shops to buy overpriced souvenirs. We repeat, absolutely not. If you request to go shopping, of course, your Executive Assistant or Leisure Guide can recommend some trusted local markets and can help negotiate when appropriate.
Can I do some sightseeing in China?
We think you definitely should schedule some days for sightseeing. We love the sights around Beijing in particular. You can see the Great Wall, Tiannamen Square, Gui Jie (Ghost Street), the Forbidden City, the newly constructed Olympic Village, and many temples. We recommend 2-4 days to see Beijing. Your Executive Assistant or Leisure Guide can recommend the best sights to visit wherever you are.
Do you help with airline bookings? Hotels?
No, sorry. There are many other services that can assist you there. We usually point customers to one of the meta-travel sites such as Kayak for international travel or Ctrip for domestic travel. The major U.S. hotel chains, such as Hyatt and Hilton tend to have hotels in the larger cities in China.
Can I get another receipt for corporate reimbursement?
Sure. Email us with your order id (preferred) or email address.
